The full sheet
A sharply-styled sports saloon with Lexus build quality, a refined turbocharged engine and the F Sport handling package. An understated, comfortable choice for business and city driving in Kuala Lumpur.
Power-to-price framing
Lexus IS300 F Sport carries 241 bhp at roughly RM 3.7 per horsepower per day. Forced induction means peak torque arrives low and stays flat, so overtakes happen in whatever gear you are already in.

Held on your card, not charged. It scales with what this car costs to repair rather than with what it costs to rent — a forged wheel and a bespoke tyre size are the reason the figure looks like that.

About Lexus
Toyota's obsessive division: build quality as a performance metric.
Lexus was created in 1989 with a brief that reads like an engineering dare — build a car quieter, better made and more reliable than a Mercedes S-Class, and sell it for less. The original LS400 met the brief so comprehensively that Mercedes and BMW both restructured their development programmes in response. That founding obsession with tolerances, noise isolation and long-term durability never went away, and it is still the most interesting thing about the brand.

Matched on 0–100 and power output, never on price or badge. If the Lexus IS300 F Sport is booked, these are the honest alternatives.

† RM / bhp is the daily self-drive rate divided by the manufacturer’s brake horsepower, to one decimal. It is a blunt instrument — it ignores tyre width, kerb weight and where the torque actually lives — and it is still the fastest way to see what a badge is charging you. Power bars are scaled against 248 bhp.
