Driving and delivering in Sepang

Let us start with the part everybody asks and nobody likes hearing: our cars are not rented for circuit use. No hire car in Malaysia is insured on a closed circuit, ours included, and a single off at Turn 9 writes off a value that no deposit covers. What we do — often, and happily — is get you and your guests to and from the circuit in something worth arriving in.

Sepang is roughly forty minutes from the Subang yard down the ELITE, and the last stretch on Jalan Pekeliling Litar is wide, smooth and completely empty on non-event days. For a track weekend we will deliver to the circuit gate on Friday, leave the car with you for the paddock and the Saturday night dinner in Nilai or Cyberjaya, and collect on Sunday evening. Plenty of teams and sponsors use us for exactly that: the driver arrives in the Aventador, the car sits in front of the garage all weekend as a backdrop, and it never turns a wheel in anger.

If you want the circuit experience itself, book directly with the Sepang International Circuit experience programmes or one of the resident driving schools — they run on their own cars, with their own insurance, instructors and safety cover, and that is the correct way to do it. Rent from us for the drive down, the paddock presence and the photographs. It is a cleaner arrangement for everyone and it means you spend your weekend thinking about apexes instead of about excess liability.

RM / bhp is the daily self-drive rate divided by the manufacturer’s brake horsepower, to one decimal. It is a blunt instrument — it ignores tyre width, kerb weight and where the torque actually lives — and it is still the fastest way to see what a badge is charging you. Power bars are scaled against 565 bhp.

Sepang deliveries — asked and answered

How quickly can you deliver a supercar to Sepang?+

We quote delivered to the circuit gate on event days from confirmation, and the run from our Subang Jaya base takes about 40 minutes off-peak. Book the day before if the handover point is a condominium — visitor plate registration is the thing that slows deliveries down, not the drive.

Is there anywhere near Sepang actually worth driving?+

Track use: Not permitted — road only. From Subang: ~40 min via ELITE. Event delivery: Circuit gate. For a proper drive, everyone in the Klang Valley ends up on the same four roads — the Karak, the old Genting climb, the Ulu Yam loop and the Guthrie Corridor. Our route write-up covers what each one is actually like.

Do I need to be present for the handover in Sepang?+

Yes. The named driver has to be there with the licence, the IDP if you are visiting, and the card for the deposit hold. We film the walkaround inspection with you present and send you the file before we leave — that video protects you more than it protects us.
